Vic Darchinyan is making a comeback at Sydney Olympic Park July 19 against
Filipino Alie Laurel.

 

I don't know why Vic is still trying to fight. Laurel is a pretty decent fighter so I'd be very impressed if Vic just blasts through him after not fighting for a while.

 

I know when Filipino fighter come out to Aust and they are not at veteran age they are not to be underestimated even if they have multiple losses on their record. One of Aust best young prospects charismatic Jacob Flamingo Ng Aust 135 lb Champ fought Filipino Glen Enterina 14- 5 9 ko and was floored , hurt before storming back to stop Glenn in a candidate for Aust FOY in a war for the vacant IBF Youth 135 lb Title in March.

Former WBA interim Junior Flyweight Champ Randy Petalcorin wants to face
Venezuelan Kenny Cano and his co promoter Aust Peter Maniatis hopes to get
the fight in Aust . Both are world ranked and Richard Pena , the promoter
for Cano already has agreed to fight Petalcorin. However political protests in Venezuelan
may mean Cano may be willing to travel to a neutral venue in Aust . Petalocorin has
a tune up fight at Midas Casino June 9.

Most impressive was Jhack tepora displaying some slickness in head movement, slipping shots. Whoa! A Fili boxer that can make opponents miss and pay it’s very rare but a welcomed sight.Finally.

Duno once again showed that power and resiliency against a tough vet. Golden Boy promo keeps giving Duno tough opponents and it showed Duno’s weaknesses to work on.Mainly techniques and defence but i dont think he can improve kid is not a slick type and will never be.But that power is a game changer.
