Any chance Iceman Apolinario manages to keep the upset train rolling? I used to consider him a pretty solider contender when he fought Kameda, but that was five years ago during which he's 3-9 (stopped thrice). On the other hand/bright side, Thisa isn't very good. His biggest step up was Cermeño and he got kayoed in 3 (and Cermeño isn't a puncher) while his best wins are recent Thailand-invading and upset-springing Edison Berwela (thirtieth person to decision him) and Nouldy Manakane (9th person to stop him).

It was a war. I only had Magramo up 67-66 at the time of the stoppage. Bravo started the fight really well, countering Magramo as he came in. He was able to land some huge right hands that Magramo took well. Magramo invested to the body from the very beginning and was throwing non-stop throughout the fight. He was also the more physical of the two and Bravo had to work really hard to keep Magramo off of him. Ultimately, Bravo could not keep up with the pace and had to retire in his corner after 7 rounds.

Bravo is a pretty good fighter. Although his record doesn't show it, from what I saw, Bravo had the bigger punch. The right hands he landed on Magramo would have dropped a lot of fighters. This was a very good domestic fight. Magramo didn't show much defense in this fight but he has one heck of a chin and workrate.

Apolinario is so hot and cold these days. He has a good shot but he is moving up in weight. He's fought at 122 before but he hasn't really fared well at that weight aside from wins over poor domestic opposition.

P.S. Keep an eye on he's younger brother Dave. Kid is a stud and one of my fav Pinoy prospects right now.

Awesome, thanks! Was that live-streamed? I contemplated getting up early to do a RBR but was skeptical there'd be a way to watch it, and have gotten burned too many times on those "maybe the boxing gods will smile upon me and it'll work out" scenarios. :sisi1 I need my beauty rest.

Also, think you meant left hands for southpaw Bravo? :deal: That definitely appears to be the bigger weapon for him than his right hook, anyway. Plus, yeah, nice body work by Magramo.

Hmm, and just 19, will definitely keep an eye out. Just skimming through his amateur record, appears he ran table on everybody domestically, why didn't he go for the Olympics?

No idea. Probably just wanted to get paid for getting hit in the face like his big bro haha.

Damn...I've got to get hip to when & where to catch these Pinoy domestic showdowns. They're usually every bit as good as, say, the all-Mexican dust-ups we see on Telemundo!

I’ll try to post as many streams as I can in the cave. But like I said before, because there are no set times or even guarantee of a stream, even I miss a lot of them. And sometimes phone quality is the best we got!

Read from somebody in Thisa's camp that the Apolinario fight possibly has been scratched because the Games and Amusements Board won't let Apolinario fight overseas. They have a rule of winning a certain amount of your previous fights before being allowed to fight abroad (not sure the exact amount) and it looks like they're enforcing that rule here. The sub will most likely be a guy from Iran.

Oh wow. Cool...I guess? I have mixed feelings there. I actually respect the rule (definitely their hearts are in the right place) but in this particular instance I was looking forward to cheering Apolinario on and who knows, the upset could've been there for him (Anurak's awful) and would've been one hell of a way to snap his slump.

Ronnie Baldonado invades Nagoya to challenge Kosei Tanaka in just a little over 24 hours. Somebody's 10-0 must go!

I'm going to set my alarm for it but no promises (I'm going to maybe have a late Friday night watching the Montreal card and throwing down some beers) - in case I do get my groggy ass up in time, @CST80, @PinoyProdigy, trust anybody that finds out anything of interest will share that knowledge in the cave?

Former WBO Super Flyweight Champ, Marvin Sonsona, is finally going to make his ring return after almost 3 years of inactivity.

He’ll be a part of the undercard of the Mark Barriga title eliminator on May 13. He’s been training in Jerwin Ancajas’ survival camp and has signed on with Jerwin’s promoter Joven Jimenez.

Nice to see Marvin back in the game. Hopefully he keeps at it because he’s really talented. He has a young daughter now and hopefully that can keep him focused and remind him what he’s fighting for.

So was Baldonado competitive versus Tanaka? Seems he nearly made it the distance anyway. :nusenuse:
