I'm not satisfied that he should rank at Featherweight really. He has a win over no one and a win over a shot Super Bantamweight. What can that really tell us? I'd need to see him in with a fresh, decent Featherweight to give me an idea. For all I know he cannot beat Yordan.

agreed but you could go through the entire rankings and pick fighters apart like that.

Achievments in other weight classes still counts towards a ranking.

To me, not when I question how done they are. It's like if Bernard Hopkins moved to Cruiserweight. I question his viability at this point and I'd hesitate to actually rank him past guys who have been fighting there. If I didn't think Vazquez was past done from his last outing and the eye trouble, it'd be a totally different story and I'd say, Marquez wears the weight well and should be ranked. This is just one I don't want to call. Since he called out Darchinyan, perhaps he hesitates to consider himself a viable championship caliber FW too.

Oh, ...I don't know. I just read that he called out Vic. I shouldn't have assumed about anyone else, I suppose. But considering Vic is not even a top Batamweight, it made me wonder. A featherweight calling out the super flyweight champ and all.

lol this is a funny thread... there was a thread that talked about how juanma wanted to fight the winner of marquez vs vazques and a lot of people criticized juanma for wanting to fighta an old shot over the hill fighter.. but now he's top ten or even top 3 in some peoples ranking.. make up your mind people.. cant be changing your opinions just to make your point look better

    :hat

was it the same people that are in this thread putting him top 3???

even before saturdays fight either of them are better opponents for him than Penlarosa.

    I have it as:
    1 John
    2 Lopez
    3 Gamboa
    4 Caballero
    5 Marquez

I really don't see how Dib and Yordan make the list, but Barros does not. In fact, I really don't like any of them on the list right now, but would rather put somebody like Mikey Garcia, or Fernando Beltran Jr on the tail end of the list.

I wouldnt put him in the top 10 yet, he hasnt done enough at 126 to be placed there IMO. P4P, he's a mile above everyone there tho.
