I imagine there’s a thread like this around somewhere, but I wanted to share. I remember back in the day there was a UK pro with a lot of fights who posted some videos, but I can’t remember his name. I was no great fighter, but as an unathletic chubby kid who started off just being a huge fan and nerd ESBer, I’m proud of my boxing “career.” It’s done more than words could say for my personal development, and I won a lot of fights (for me) and a golden gloves tournament as an amateur before a very short stint as a pro. I had about 30 amateur fights (lost 3) and 5 pro fights. I had to hang up my gloves earlier than expected due to recurring eye problems (recurrent corneal erosion - same thing that caused Beibut Shumenov to stop fighting) so I didn’t get to have as many professional fights as I’d liked to, nor test myself as much as I’d have wanted to as a pro. The eye problems also caused my amateur career to be shorter (I took 2 years with no competition between my last ammy fight and my first pro bout to get multiple eye operations and recovery) Here’s my last fight: This content is protected
In your video, which guy is you? I sparred one guy from the UK, or I believe he was from the UK. Gary Stretch, he was a nice guy.
I like your aggression in that fight. I don't remember many exact details, but he was formidable. He was nobody to just funk with. Looking at his box rec I could find no reason for him to be in the US. Maybe Jackie was looking at him? Yes, I'm in the US. We sparred up at Galaxy.
