This is a forum mate. If i see something i disagree with, i will do so. I don't care if you don't like it. You were off the mark with your initial post, and in your subsequent replies to me regarding it. I pointed it out. I don't know where the hypersensitive part came from. I wasn't angry or sensitive in the slightest. Merely disagreeing with you. Deal with it. Pointing to me embarrassing myself for disagreeing with you is extremely arbitrary. Its a discussion about one particular post, not a personal attack.

Come back when you can just talk boxing, and leave your obvious ego behind. If he had just joined the league, and made a tip without any analysis, then i would agree. But when someone has repeatedly been on top, beating other good, knowlegable analysts, OBVIOUSLY he knows his stuff and analzyes fights. That is just common sense.

 

Dude. You've been shitting on me for a guess that his pick might have been a guess (I left open the strong possibility that it wasn't...a possibility that has proven to be reality). Just like assuming that his pick wasn't a guess was - that's right, a guess on your part. You can go blue in the face talking about his track record and how "nobody with that kind of success would just risk their standings on a hunch or a blind guess" but the fact is, you don't know, because you're not him. Only northend can speak for himself. Any conjecture as to what's going on his head, UNTIL he comes front and center and speaks on it, is just that - conjecture. Your instincts and reasoning told you that he had an analytical basis for his pick - mine told me that given the performance of the two fighters recently, and their overall skill level, even with Forrest's age taken into consideration - was highly unlikely (even given his high league ranking). Never did I say "northend DEFINITELY got a lucky guess" - I only suggested that MAYBE he did, and that I leaned that way until proven otherwise (again, leaving that door wide open). Your guess that it was analytically based was right, and my leaning that it wasn't was wrong. Congratulations. Cookie and gold star are in the mail. Now why continue to **** on me for it, and spout off on how unimpeachable the dude's record and analytical ability are, when I NEVER shat on them?

Then proceeded to tell me i was embarrassing myself for not agreeing with you, and an arsehole also for not doing so. Then said i was kissing his arse unconditionally. WTF??? Well, let's see, in your very first post addressed to me, you:

accuse me of not giving him credit
put the word fluke in my mouth
imply that i am jealous

None of this seems unprovokedly belligerent to you? This is all justified by me guessing that maybe there wasn't brilliant analytical insight behind his pick, but rather a hunch (and then turning around and giving him his due when he did explaind his rationale...which honestly was more of a skillful prioritizing of the facts than some huge insightful revelation; we all knew Forrest was old and Mora was awkward, most of us just didn't think it would matter...clearly northend thought it might and he was right and deserves to be credited for that)?

 

You clearly said that IYO it was lucky. That is a fluke YES??? That and not giving credit go hand in hand. I asked a question, saying maybe you are jealous, as i can't see any other reasoning behind your post? None of that was personal, all directed at your post only.
