Huki, I am officially requesting that the result of the Clottey-Judah bout be declared a 9th round TKO for the purposes of the ESB's BIG FIGHT PICKS league.

You all saw, as did the cameras, that the cut was opened by a punch.

And you all heard the Doc say he thought that Zab could continue, but he felt he had to 'believe' that Zab couldn't see, as that was what Zab was claiming, and what Doc wants to be responsible for the damage that was about to be inflicted on the overmatched and unwilling Zab, if he let it continue.

So consult with the gods of the league and consider my request.

    Thanks in advance.

Shades of Rahman-Toney II with the doctor taking the fighter at his word in regards to their condition, contrary to his own medical assessment (or lack thereof)..:think

This is indeed quite the interesting conundrum as far as how to treat it, technically a close decision, but cuchulain makes a very good case for ruling it a TKO. I don't know that the big fight league has yet had to deal with any TD's, let alone a tricky one like this. :huh

    Thanks, IB.

(And I feel I must stress, for the record, that my prediction of Clottey by TKO in rd 9, has absolutely no bearing on my appeal. It is based solely on principle)

Just a question folks . . . how will that technical decission be treated?

Does that mean nobody got that right? :think

I think it should be a TKO9 victory for Clottey, but I won't argue with Clottey Close UD, since this was my pick....:thumbsup

They did, but should they have?

The replay evidence clearly says NO.

The outcome was not a robbery, but the result clearly was.

If no accidental headbutt, then , as Judah told the ref that he couldn't see (couldn't continue), and since the damage was from a punch, the proper decision was TKO round 9.
