Follows logic; the former two are overrated B-level fighters and the latter three underrated A-level fighters...a lot of the hyperbolic posts are tongue-in-cheek by his own admission.

This is true and Amsterdam is a very good poster. But he doesn't quite carry off impartial like a sean.

In this capacity of review panelist (if voted in), he would be impartial, though.

Hmmmm.... Not trying to start an arguement with you, but the post in the other thread read like a minor tantrum. Possibly my misinterpretation of your emoticon... Anyway, my biggest concern is that people in the comp, will kick up a stink in the inevitable grey area that will arise. If it is only for CLEAR robberies, thats fine... But if it starts becoming for matches where one fighter probably should have won but didn't, it WILL create a bad precedent and be the cause of much needless disagreement. Regardless, this is Decebal and Huki's comp, and considering they are tallying the results and organising the fights they have the right to set the criteria. If this is the way it goes thats fine with me.

Sean, Brooklyn1550 and KG0208 would be the best IMO.

Sorry, I can be a bit esoteric at times.

This ":fire", is, I presume what you mean? That, along with that last sentence, was used ironically, as a jab at my own tenacity (mirroring your own, as well) from earlier in the thread. Not to say that I feel differently about the core issue (or what was a core issue to me at the time, anyway) of that scorecard being impossible, but that's never what you and I were debating after all. That post was my personal after-the-fact deconstruction and denouement of the issue as it pertained to that thread/this league. It was basically me saying "Oops, turns out the position I was arguing for was wrong anyway, as I had mistakenly overlooked one detail and now I concede". I thought the humorous tone would render that all water under the bridge, but apparently only caused greater waves.

We should in fact go by the cards as a rule. There should not be scratching beneath the surface in close fights. For instance, Sam Peter technically beat James Toney in their first encounter, and that's final. Toney fans (or objective fight fans who feel certain the decision was unfair) have to accept it. I absolutely agree with you that those types of fights should not be subject to review. But they are a breed apart from fights like, as Decebal brought up, Casamayor-Santa Cruz etc. It's an interesting discussion and there isn't really an easy answer. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't leave it up to the official ruling 100% of the time. :think

I agree with everything you say and trust me, only in extraordinary circumstances like Casamayor robbery would the result be changed. Otherwise, this competition fails and all our efforts have been in vain.:good
