Hey guys, like the thread title says, simply vote on which fights you want to pick this week (50% or more "yes" votes for a fight mean it will be included). Abraham-Miranda and Arreola-Witherspoon are already automatically in. I didn't include the Berto, Khan, or Ward fights in the vote because they don't fall under the critera of "Solid prospects seriously stepping up in competition" like Gamboa-Jiminez or something similar to that situation.

The new league thread will be up tomorrow with updated scores. Later!

And if you vote (or if you don't), bump this thread so I don't need to look desperate doing it every hour. :D

Giovanni Lorenzo vs Raul Marquez - YES 9 45.00%
Giovanni Lorenzo vs Raul Marquez - NO 7 35.00%

This is where the picks I think went wrong last time. 9 is greater than 7 so you included it, but if you look at the overall % of the people who voted to actually care about seeing it, only 45% said yes meaning its below 51%. Therefore it shouldnt be included if this was the end result.

Kessler a good champion material vs an undefeated prospect I could see where youre coming from. Raul marquez a gatekeeper vs another prospect hardly classifies as a big fight though.

I agree. I just wanted to be in a casual league with one fight every week or two to predict. Although I think if I miss one more week im out anyways

To me, 9-7 translates to 9 people want it in and 7 people don't. The people who didn't vote are neutral and don't side with either option, so they shouldn't be counted for anything.

Giovanni Lorenzo is a solid, known prospect stepping up in class against Marquez in a title eliminator on a nationally televised Showtime card. Everyone voted for what type of fights they wanted to include in this "big" (or "big enough") fights league and this matchup falls under one of the categories that was included. I can't make everyone happy with this league and what fights are chosen, the best I can do is make more people satisfied with it than dissatisfied and that's what I did.

Any more questions/comments about the league, hot chicks that need name identification, or anything else? :D

EDIT: Damn, while I was looking for a pic, he got the reply in first. :|

You went down that route last time and you faced the problem of people who didnt vote but didnt want it anyways. Me for example didnt even know some of the names that were thrown in so I just left it. People who arent voting no obviosly dont care for the fight thus why they didnt bother voting.

People who want the fight in will always vote yes, people who dont want the fight may not vote about it all. So basically you could have 15 guys who dont care for the fight, and 7 guys who may want to see the fight. 7 guys are guaranteed to vote "yes" whereas you may only get 6 guys bothered to vote "no" despite 15 not wanting it. Its just a case of people being more bothered about something they want rather than what they dont want. You shouldnt take neutrals and should be based on overall %.

    I voted YES to both.

Its a league!!! Lets pick fights. 2 is hardly an outrageous number. Whatever the differences that sorted out from inception til now have already happened and we gotta finish.

From someone experienced at running leagues? WHy complain? Huki's doing the work so ride with it.

Alright, you've convinced me that the fights will need at least 50% of the total votes to be included. Makes enough sense.

    Bump.
