I called Fraudley's glass jaw, said he'd be starched by Sprott, and the doubters scoffed. :yep Said Taylor'd be laid out by Pavlik and exposed as the hype job he was, and the doubters attacked again. :nod Said Cotto's suspect whiskers would give out late, and they said I was nuts. Heck, even Amsterdam doubted me this time. atsch WELL, NEXT time I tell ya all some whiskers are shaky, and a glass jaw is gonna get exposed, it might make sense to listen people!! :good They don't call me ESB's "Chinchecker" for nothing!!:-(
I don't understand why you'd attribute that methodical, gradual beatdown to a suspect chin. Cotto was bloodied, short of breath, and out of steam (all b/c of Margarito). You've just been saying he had suspect whiskers all along and are looking for a way to confirm it. If anything, for Cotto to last as long as he did confirms his chin is not glass but no where near the granite of Margarito. If this had been Holyfield, I highly doubt you'd be questioning his chin about now. Cotto got gradually beaten up, not victim of a weak chin.
No doubt Cotto's chin failed him. His Nuthuggers here can't accept that though. On an unrelated note the next fighter to get starched is David Haye. he has a Glass Jaw.
His chin didn't fail him. Being beaten over 10 rounds by another boxer doesn't mean you have a bad chin. Bad chin is going down in 1.
Oh get the **** over yourself. Your reasoning for predictions is ALWAYS based off of who has the better chin. You always predict against Lennox Lewis because the other guy has a better chin.
Damn, ya beat me to it. That's EXACTLY who I would've said in response to Cooke's question. Either him or Amir Khan. It depends on who gets put in with a guy who can hit first. Trust me, their handlers will put the INEVITABLY off as long as possible - but those china chins WILL get shattered.
I like Zak's posts except for his unwarranted love affair of Evander being superior to Lennox. Other than that, Zak is good in my book.
Taylor has a prety sturdy chin from what I've seen. Guy just got worn down by a very handed man in Kelly Pavlik. Same kind of thing happened here with Cotto. He was also worn down by a very strong, heavy handed opponent. Though I don't think Cotto's chin is near as sturdy as Taylor's. It's definitely dentable, not sure if I'd rank is as poor though.... Average at best, shaky at worst, but it ain't made of glass.
Man as much as we agreed and disagreed without insults before but **** it. You're just a complete dumb**** to be honest, especially for a 90 year old fat **** who if I spit on your chin you would fall out cold in the arms of your 10th grandson. If Cotto has a horrible chin he would've been stopped WAY earlier, Fraudley definitely has a horrible chin because 1 clean punch takes him out, Cotto took SHITLOADS of punches before being finally finished. It's also more of being totally broken down than one punch that finished him, he was completely out of it and had nothing left to offer and was fairly finished him by TKO, he wasn't knocked out cold from one clean punch to be considered "china" chinned as you claim, you need to think straight sometimes instead of making a complete fool out of yourself.
I wasn't around much then, so an honest question: what did you predict for Cotto-Judah and Cotto-Mosley?
