What a dumbass thread. Chin was the target but it was will to win that won that fight. Two guys want it bad enough chances are one is going down. BTW were you not dead set certain Miranda was going to win last pick? atsch
Well to be fair Cotto was beaten all over. It wasn't one particular punch that did it. And Tony does hit signfiicantly hard enough to crack the glass jaws. See his one round destruction of Johnson for example. First right hand Tony landed flush broke Cotto's nose. Then sometime through the fight he suffered a cut on his eyelid. And then some uppercuts started bleeding inside of his mouth (my observation). So, not only was hit with digging left hooks to the body, but he was also bleeding from both his nose and mouth, making it incredibly hard to breathe. Facing a 10-7 round on top of it and not looking like he had done any damage to Margarito. It was the worst nightmare possible for Cotto. As psychologically strong as he is, he was put right where Cintron was put. In a land of despair. I honestly don't see Cotto getting stopped by anyone else at welter, bar perhaps Williams.
I love your work but wasnt it just an awesome fight. Judah rocked him couldnt finish and well we seen as soon as Margo rocked him the fight was over. You know the funny thing is every time a Cotto fan said Cotto would kill Tszyu i laughed know we seen why.
atsch Please Cotto got hurt alot before that 11th round. **** Tszyu he would've quit on his stool after the 8th. *****.
They call you ESB's "Chinchecker"? That's strange. I've always thought that they called you ESB's "Max Kellerman's #1 Fan".
Like Cotto.:yep Margo hurt him a couple of times its just he had the killer instinct to finish unlike Judah. Tszyu would cream Cotto after watching him tonight.
The "joke' is boxing fans like yourself who are repeatedly told by those who know chins that a fighter has shaky whiskers, but you don't even get it when the chin experts are proven right, time and again. It was clear to anyone who followed Cotto's career that his chin was shaky, and it would not stand up to 12 rounds of punishment from a top, hard-hitting welterweight. The facts don't lie. You would do well to learn from them.
Yup. It was clear that it was shaky. But some said that fighting at 147 made it better. I don't know how 7 pounds can increase it so much. It was still shaky. And yesterday he finally went down, tired from eleven rounds of punishment.
Both chin's were tested last night. Cotto was descent but Margaritos's was world class. Tex Cobb/JCC-class. It's his biggest asset since he doesn't have speed.
shut the **** up zakman...you're another one who disrespects fighters calling them frauds. do you have any clue? have you ever boxed? its easy to talk **** when you dont have a ****ing clue what its like to fight. cotto was tired, swallowing blood, and took 2 knees...thats not a bad chin. you get predictions wrong ALL THE TIME because ALL YOU DO is base them off chins. time to grow up old man... and Miranda KTFO Abraham? who's the one with an iron chin? who was the one who had been KO'd and knocked down? that's what i thought.
I'm not convinced its "shakey" at welterweight. There must be something between shakey and solid, which would be apt. If it was shakey he would have been gone against Mosley or Judah, or down and out much earlier against Margarito, not following a beating.
