Much as I can't stand Calzaghe he took some ridiculous shots from Eubank too, I remember one in the later rounds that would have taken most guys out clean and Calzaghe just threw straight back. I don't think Calzaghes chin these days is as good as it was back then, but he's still a tough cookie.

Same with Cotto, his chin was not a factor in this fight, strength and stamina were, he just couldn't keep the bigger man off him. Leonard V Hagler would most likely have finished in the same manner had it gone 15 rounds, I suppose Leonard would have been a glass chinned bum had that happened :nut

Ding once quoted Amsterdamn(extremly flattered) and they fell so much in love with Ding that they got blinded...Ding KO1 Adamek Ding KO1 this and that guy....

They are a couple so where one goes the other will follow.

As a generalization, this is utter nonsense. You pick a guy who was the greatest fighter of modern times - a clearly exceptional case - and use that to try to "prove" the opposite of reality - that fighters who hit the canvas, nine times out of ten, have shaky chins.:yep

And, btw, I get my predictions right MOST of the time friend, particularly when chins are involved. Who called Sprott to starch Fraudley? Pavlik to take out Taylor? I can SMELL a glass jaw, buddy!

That's exactly what he'll do, yes. I'm interested as to which heavyweights aren't KO's waiting to happen, there can't be many.

I think Joe still has the chin he's always had, he got hit big against Kessler, he got hit against Lacy, he took Mitchells shots and while he went down against Hopkins, it was more knocked off balance than knocked out of his senses.

His balance has changed a bit, mostly because he now throws from even weirder angles than he used too.

Hearns also had no chance whatsoever in the Leonard rematch. Who ended up hitting the canvas again :think

You'd think the proven fact that chinny fighters can beat non chinny fighters, such as Corrales vs JLC or Lewis vs McCall or Jones Jr vs anyone would stop this idiot, but hell.

    Utter bollocks.

Again, what an expert, picking Harrison to get KO'd  How many fights in a row had you picked against Harrison again before it actually happened? As far as Audley Harrison picks go you're about 9 and 1, the 1 being the Sprott fight.

I'd also forgotten Eubank went down with the first meaningful punch against Calzaghe too, and he was down against Watson, and Benn. Glass chinned bum.

    Here are some of the rankings you can give chins (other systems can be used, such as 1-10, numerical scales, etc);

    Titanium: McCall, Chuvalo

    Granite: Holyfield, Ali

    Sturdy: Tyson

    Average: Calzaghe

    Shaky: Cotto, Wlad, Hearns, Lewis

    Glass: Rahman, Haye

    Grade A China: Fraudley, Litzau
