    I just read that Antonio Escalante stopped Mike Oliver in three rounds tonight in an important jr. featherweight bout. Did anyone here see it?

    Yeah, I saw it. Seems like everytime Escalante landed a clean shot it rattled Oliver. Oliver was dropped in twice in round one. One was from an uppercut and the other I believe a right hand. After that, Escalante landed another shot, and Oliver went to the floor, seemingly trying to pass it off as slip to get time to clear his head. But the ref correctly ruled it a knockdown. In the 3rd round a left hook to the body sent Oliver down in pain. Oliver made it to his feet grimacing, which showed he was still badly hurt by the shot, so the referee called the fight.

    How did the second round go...did Oliver at least win the second round with superior boxing, or was Escalante in complete control?

    Escalante dropped Oliver 3 times in the 1st round. He won the second and dropped the bomb in the 3rd. Oliver, it seems, has absolutely no legs. I'm surprised he got by Al Seeger, who can crack, a few fights back. It appears to be all over for Oliver. If some of you remember, Oliver really struggled with ordinary Gary Stark a while back. That fight gave notice to what was ahead for Oliver when he met a "real" guy. Escalante looked to be compact, strong and in excellent condition.:smoke :smoke

    Backbay, it's time to get a television.:lol::lol:

    It was a beautiful thing especially since my sportsbook had escalante at +600 by ko. It was like stealing. I cant wait til teddy atlas starts making his picks again because thats when you bet against him and win everytime

    Oliver has 2 consecutive KO losses now. He can't take a good shot, he was stumbling anytime Escalante hit him with anything.

    I sure did bet on it only because of the watching mike olivers fight before when he got KTFO. Its not like i bet big but with those odds you got to take a risk
