Certain fans cry about Cotto, Marg and DLH agreeing to fight PAC at a catch weight even though they were paid nicely for fighting a smaller guy.

Esco DID NOT initially agree...he backed out after Broner failed his second chance at saving face and the fight.

Broners' camp and promoters had to pretty much take ALL of Broner's purse and give it to Esco in order for the "Risk" to be worth the financial "reward".

Esco isn't crying...he's voicing his opinion that is mirrored by MOST respected folks in the fact that Broner came off as though he had no intentions of honoring his commitment in coming in at or under the division limit.

Do you believe Broner had this planned the whole time? Because that's what Escobedo said.

No...I don't think Broner planned it the whole time but I do think that he was aware of his weight prior to weigh in and made up his mind that he wasn't going to try and cut the extra weight.

I agree. And the more I look at that statement it could be what Escobedo meant, he should have worded it better if he meant after the weigh in though. :thumbsup

According to the officials standing there at weigh in, Broner immediately started drinking water when he failed to make weight the first time. So I think it's fair to say he wasn't trying to cut and didn't care about making weight.

I think leading up to the weigh in, they knew he wouldn't make weight and were already working out the details to pay extra so the fight would stay on.

In retrospect, I think Escovedo shouldn't have taken the fight but I'm glad there are fighters like him willing to take on fights for the fans.

Could that be because he felt he drained himself as much as he could to get to 133.5 and didn't believe he could lose anymore so he decided he'd hydrate himself and they would accept the fight or move on? :think

Once he took that check, he gave up his right to ***** about the weight. If he wants to cry, give the extra money back and then cry....

Yea....I think people took what he said differently than what he meant to say.

dude took the payday knowing he was proly gonna lose anyways but then proceeded to get beat up badly, that's why he mad! he thought at least he'd put in a respectable perfomance that would earn him something in the future but nope, he got beat the hell up and looked useless so he's pissed and knows he's likely never gonna be on HBO again.

Broners an unproffesional chump for not making weight, just like Pac, Mayweather, Rios, Castillo etc... were but when Escobedo decided to take $$$ over his standing in the boxing world he lost his right to complain about this fight. He knew what he was getting into, he's just mad cause he was far more outclassed than he thought he would be.

******s comparing broner to pac missing one pound and trying to sweat it out as oppose to broner missing 3.5 pounds, drinking water immediately after the weighin and posting twinkies in his twitter.

no....******s like you are such ****** boy nuthuggers that you try to justify your hero missing weight while condemning others for doing the same ****....it's ****ing pathetic

right cause you know for fact he didn't try....you're dumb as ****, if he didn't try to make weight there would be no reason for him to immediately drink water the second he stepped off the scales to rehydrate dummy...... and you know for a fact pac did try to make weight and wasn't eating too much???? it's all speculation with you ****ing nuthuggers...... you have no idea who did what, the only thing you can go on are the FACTS and the FACTS are both Pac and Broner have missed making weight.....don't argue with me with your jaded nuthugging consiarcy theories and speculations.

Pac has done it twice! Castillo, Rios, Mayweather, Pac, Guzman- they're all shitheads for not making weight. See what I did there- criticized some of my favorites, it's possible you know! if someone you like does something wrong you're allowed to criticize them for it, Pac isn't gonna read your post and come hunt you down for saying it was unproffessional of him to not make weight.

well yea everyone knows he planned it. He made a semi effort to reach 130 but he made no effort for the rehydration. Vincent is pleased about the deal and made the right choice, he got double pay on a fight that he wouldn't win anyways.

Broner had already announced he was moving up. Of course he didn't give a crap about making the weight. Not sure why some of you are arguing this.
