I dont suppose anyone else would be kind enough to do round by round on this fight. It is already in progress by now.

pickering started slowly and looked a little stiff legged early on,

but he started to land the heavier shots and began to dominate the fight.

hughes went down twice in the 4th i think and looked exhausted before rallying

pickering again began to dominate and the ref stepped in after several big blows in the 9th

So Pickering was right, in an interview he said he had not prepared correctly first time round and the rematch would be a different story. He proved he was right tonight. I still do not think that he will be able to beat Kiko Martinez as he was looking for a Euro Title fight later in the year.

i felt that hughes was very game but pickering was the obvious quality in the fight.

having said that, i agree with johnny nelsons opinion on this, pickering got hurt early on and looks vulnerable now.

oh and pickering won just to make it clearer

If Pickering fights Kiko Martinez for the European Title, he will likely be stopped. Pickering was thoroughly beaten by Bernard Dunne and Dunne was destroyed in the opening round by Martinez.

great fight, but pickering was hurt by the feather fisted hughes a couple of times.

Pickering is looking just the right side of shot, but only just
