yeah was worrying for pickering how many times he seemed to stand still and take a few hits. difficult to see how he could live with a bigger puncher

Eshams only carrying on for the money, hes completely skint. He left the ingles because they wanted him to train too much and he needed to work. He goes carpet fittin for a mate of mine two days a week.

Just watching the replay now. How annoying is Jim Watt's whining?

What a fight though! Great to see such a hot contest for a good old, genuine belt.

what did anyone make of adnan amar btw?

i didn't see his one loss against hickman, but i see that fight was at lightwelterweight, while amar looks more of a natural ww/sww.

if he's going for a title shot this year, that probably means the winner of mcintyre / anderson, craig watson or woolcombe if he decides to fight at sww.

personally i think watson or woolcombe are his best chance at a title, but as with all fighters with heavily padded records its difficult to judge his level until he steps up.

I think it was more a case of Pickering struggling massively with a tall awkward southpaw. Hughes obviously has a little bit of a dig he floored Billy Cocoran. Everyone seems to have overlooked the fact it was a treamendous fight.

I thought the bloke who Amar fought (McKillop is it?) was like a beached whale!

Our fighters are all moved along too slowly getting padded records against guys like Peter Buckley etc - Amar is 20-1 and fighting that fat *******!

Not seen too much of Matthew Hatton, but Amar didn't do too much to impress me, but what a load of shite Brendon Ingle was talking!

I think Pickering is shot, but it was a gritty performance, and he deserved his win.
