it still cracks me up how the tards write "rumor" then actually talk about it as it is a fact it really doesnt matter....if we get a different number....theyll just say the 800k is the real number and showtime is trying to inflate it to save face and even then...it still wont matter....because unless it does 1.5 they are losing money anyway....according to the tarded legion
The sports bar I went to wasn't nearly as crowded for the Maidana fight as it was for the Canelo fight. However, they charged an additional 5 dollars ($15), when they normally charge $10, which I thought was kind of expensive. There just didn't seem to be that same buzz. So it wouldn't surprised me if the numbers were disappointing. Which is ironic because this was easily his most entertaining fight since the Cotto match.
didnt the broner v maidana event do 1.3million buys? no sure if i read that few months back anyway I imagine floyds did 900k-1mill at best
That really messed up his numbers, I think. But that's luck. Honestly when Mayweather emphasizes his current form being better than Pacquiao and then talks about the numbers that he does in PPV (compared to Pacquiao).....it's like he's set the bar so high....he can almost come out on the losing end in the eyes of public, even when he wins. His form currently is looking more similar to pacquiao and his PPV numbers, if similar, wouldn't surprise me. He's spent so much time trashing Pacquiao as an opponent. You hear his father, his uncle, and himself constantly putting Pacquiao down in such a distasteful way. It's difficult to empathize with him.
You guys do realize the same thing happened with Mayweather vs Guerrero? Rumors started circulating that the buy rate was around 800k. Espinoza claimed those were just rumors. And of course in the end the 800k turned out to be correct. My hunch is that The rumors are true, and Shotime is just being formal and collecting every bit of Data before they release anything official. But I'm sure they have a ballpark figure, and that's where the rumors likely stem from.
