    Round 3

Francisco is backed into a corner as Avalos keeps the jab out in his face but doesn't actually touch him with it much. Francisco ducks and sidesteps, whacking Avalos with hooks up top from strange angles and rapping his right fist against Avalos' body. Avalos is jabbing out at Francisco's moving head, following him across the ring. Avalos chops at the body as he pushes Francisco into the ropes. Left hook by Avalos as he closes the round strong.

    10-9 Francisco but very close.

    30-27 Francisco

    Round 4

Francisco is drawing Avalos in and jerking away from the double jab. Avalos keeps coming in a beeline with jabs and right hands, glancing as Francisco ducks and rolls to the side while scuffing his feet along the canvas. Francisco loops in a few awkward counters but isn't mounting a sustained offense when given a chance as Avalos comes in. Francisco dives in and presses his forearms into Avalos' trunks. Avalos is marching in forcefully. Big overhand right by Avalos, sailing over Francisco's horizontal back.

    10-9 Avalos

    39-37 Francisco

So far Tapia vs. Han was better (not that I'm saying this is bad)

    Round 5

Francisco is crowded into the ropes and forced to swap left hooks with Avalos while tiptoeing free. Avalos is walking in with his jab hanging out like a heavy apple sagging on the end of a thin branch. Francisco punishes him with a big counter left hook across the face before ducking and circling away. Avalos jabs, steps left, jabs, steps right, jabs. Francisco is throwing in wild rainbow left hooks, caught on the arm. Avalos steps in and lands a hard left hook. Avalos holds Francisco at range with a jab to prevent Francisco's wide hooks from reaching him, then plants an uppercut on his chest.

    10-9 Avalos but close

    48-47 Francisco
