Teddy extolling the virtues of the late Harold Johnson. (light heavyweight champ in the early sixties, with victories over Archie Moore, Eddie Machen, Jimmy Bivins, and Ezzard Charles)

Yeah, it became a bit monotonous after that, in spite of the fact that Nelson started taking a round or two after that point.

Wasn't a bad watch, on the whole.

Actually quite a good list, though I think I might insert Hopkins in place of Giardello.

    Round 1

Benavidez is jabbing down at the little southpaw and moving counterclockwise. Benavidez giving respect as Douglin starts fast, looking feisty, tossing up lefty 1-2s in succession. Douglin jumps in with a pair of underhanded body slaps and clinches. Benavidez's jab is caught in between the clamped palms of Douglin. Benavidez is covering up as Douglin hammers up high with the left hand, pinning his man against the ropes. 1-2 from Benavidez misses and Douglin works the body ducking in.

    10-9 Douglin

    Round 2

Douglin zaps Benavidez with a quick double right hook on the side of the waistband, then brings a left hand up top before he can respond with anything. Benavidez just a beat too slow on the exchanges, getting ducked or hit first and stung into submission every time he starts to fire something. Douglin jumping in at the end of his combos and tying up, smothering the bigger man. Douglin is scoring VERY well springing vertically up off his feet and planting the right hook on Benavidez's cheek, making sweat fly off his face. Benavidez trying some work on the inside but his arms prove too long, with Douglin snatching them in midair, pulling down on them and countering with body shots. Douglin caught in an exchange late but keeps punching.

    10-9 Douglin

    20-18 Douglin
