Douglin tries a right jab on the body and walks into a short right hand from Benavidez shoveled into his jaw. Benavidez is sloppy but asserting himself, mauling Douglin and walking him into the ropes. Cuffing left hooks on the nape by Benavidez. Douglin falling in with 1-1-2s and other straight combos thrown from shoulder height, collapsing into Benavidez and tying up before getting flung off and walked down by the ropes again.

Benavidez is bending his knees to put more oomph into his body shots. Douglin hurt by one. Benavidez is plowing forward and casually hooking around the far side of Douglin's torso. More flank hooks from Benavidez, pinning Douglin on the ropes, walking through his southpaw jabs unphased. Douglin badly hurt. Gum shield out. Clinch. Benavidez just paddling the body, slowly but heavily. Time out to replace the gum shield. Time in. Fluttering right jab up top by Douglin, getting in Benavidez's face, showing courage. They tie up with Douglin heaving his full weight into Benavidez in the corner. Benavidez starts punching and doesn't stop after the bell! Ref has to pull him off.
