Who gives a **** where the Poll is coming from? ESPN is a centralized point for those who are avid sports fans to come and read up, leave comments and inform themselves of headlines in other sports they may not be die hard followers of.

That's where Boxing comes in.....most of those who took the time to poll are sports fans and part time boxing fans. They have a low level view of the sport itself as you can tell with the poll.

But you are getting all bent out of shape b/c PAC is getting a lot of praise and acknowledgement for being where he's at through his accomplishemnts.

I remember when ESPN was putting out "PRO" Mayweather polls and articles when Floyd first came out with the who accusations and demands for OSDT......

I'm sure you weren't upset at ESPN for presenting "uneducated nonsense"as a top leader in sports headlines and publications. Boxing has respect and isn't going anywhere. PAC is only helping the sport flourish rather than become stagnant. No one else in boxing has the kind of impact or notoriety that Manny brings, and no one is gonna take Floyd's word that PAC is dirty, especially after clearly ducking the man. He's seen as the one who went FAAAAR beyond what is reasonable to avoid the fight and his career, legacy and character has taken a major hit.

They've had polls on ESPN where they polled who is better...Lebron or Jordan and it was neck and neck.

people are forgetting, its P4P. its a perception that if ever they are of the same weight and fought, what would be the end result. its all but opinion.

Looks like we have ourselves A god damn GOAT right now in our lifetimes.

The rare chemistry of Roach and Manny. A whole country behind him. A heart and offense never seen before. The rise from poverty. Doing the right thing outside of the ring.

Does not get better than this. This man deserves this and boy so do the fans.

Well done Manny. Congratulations to the team and to boxing fans around the world.

    Love that lil midget.

no surprise....the chinese mass aided in voting yao ming into the all star game, and he only played like 6 games

(this isn't an anti-asia thing by the way, just showing how popularity plays a HUGE role in public voting)

and of course Floyd could care less about his fans and leaves em hanging out to dry.
Counting his money while his fans struggling in a recession some who lost jobs and look forward to big fights get nothing. The only losers in the this whole situation are the Floyd fans. They are knowledgeable, love boxing and just stuck with the wrong guy.

Honestly I feel bad. I am not even playing. Just ain't right. Fight of the century and walks away.

A boxing historian who's witnessed the likes of Robinson and Armstrong with his own eyes may think otherwise...

So now we have a gym full of great lightweights - we'll just stick with this division for now - to compare with Pacquiao. Take these:

Is he as good or better than: Tony Canzoneri? My opinion - better.

The fact ESPN are even offering a poll "Would Pacquiao beat Bernard Hopkins?" makes the entire thing void.
