Dang that's kinda sad a fighter as accomplished as Ward have to do this, but he needs to badly get his name out there, make fans beyond Oakland. He shoulda been America's church boy and household name by now. I think he will eventually become a popular fighter, but towards the end of his career. He'll command big money similar to Roy Jones, but later in his career. Won't be surprised if he takes on a Dirrell bro, Groves, or Degale in the meantime.

 

I think his point is that they won't fight if one of them ends up fighting Mayweather(Cotto).
