Yeah he would, no doubt about it. His last performance was tasty.

Takam is a tough customer. But he’s getting long in the tooth. That said pretty good performance from a guy who is pushing 40 coming in as a late replacement. I doubt his cardio was anywhere near where he wanted to be. He’s just a level above Forrest.

he started strong but the eye definitely effected him

I had Takam winning quite comfortably. Gave Forrest 2 maybe 3 of the rounds.

With a full camp Takam beats him in a shutout IMO.

I gotta give Takam credit for one thing tonight. He was awesome at landing bombs on Forrest's shoulder.

I scored it 8 to 2 for Takam. Forrest didn't do much. When Takam gassed he still won most of those rounds. Forrest couldn't capitalize on an opponent who was having trouble seeing and gassing. Another fighter Takam would have been in trouble, but even with everything going against him he was still the better fighter throughout.

At this point you have to be happy the right person won regardless of the scores.

Takam is 39 years old. His career is near the end.

Scene is totally pathetic. And our #1 HW is probably done for after just one official loss. I'd still give Takam a chance against most of our best even though he's pushing 40. As long as he's concious he would be a handful for any of them.

Thought it was a fairly comfortably win for Takam myself. Forrest was better than I thought he'd be but I had Takam nicking most of the rounds. His fitness began to struggle but at the same time he did take the fight on a weeks notice. Both these guys will secure more paydays as gatekeepers no doubt.
