It was the first topic on PTI. They basically said that there's no way of defending Margarito's antics. Well, they haven't been reading ESB.

It is hard to say but boxing is a sport of ruffians, we want to see blood and brutal knock downs not two guys in there playing crockett. We should be realistic were do most of these fighters come from " it isn't elite wealthy families" they come from the barrios, ghetto's, or slums. This kind of situation should not shock anyone who is into boxing , it is not like all the boxers have phd's or mba from harvard or any other ivy league entity. Boxers are the equivalent of roman gladiators in roman times , allot of times we expect from them

Maybe to discourage any future boxers from even thinking about doing a Resto? They say he knew but he's served his suspension. I think Billy Collins would understand Roach's **** talking. He probably wishes everyone would.

Boxing is the only sport I know of that when you can't agree with someone, you automatically assume he/she is "new" to the sport or doesn't know anything about boxing.

As if their opinions are the end all, be all of everything. I don't have a problem with referring to the taunts as crossing the line as long as the rule is applied to each and every individual involved in the sport. Ever since I began watching Boxing I've always understood locker room trash talking as taking hard shots at rivalries with no limits. Now all of a sudden people are up in arms about something that has existed since the sport was created! Why the sudden change?! If Team Marg is wrong for their actions, fine. I can accept that. But it appears to me they are being singled out when others have committed a much bigger rule infraction. That's where the injustice lies.

Furthermore, you can't say fans are immune to blame because they're the ones who seem to easily forgive and forget atrocious words that came from, say for example, Mike Tyson. If I'm a fighter and I see that certain individuals can get away with harsh taunting, it's fairly safe for me to assume it's not a crime.
