Max isn't a bad guy but he is SO full of himself. He talks with such certainty as though he has been there. He has never been there. He's like a man-boy walking around in his lifts among his heroes. Now he thinks he is one of them.

In summary, I have to say this was a fight lover's fight that lived up to its billing. Gvozdyk has no reason to hang his head. He put up a heroic effort against a guy who is the real deal. What a shame we have not had the opportunity to watch Beterbiev over the last 7 years rack up 35+ wins. Beterbiev is unique. He should have gotten his due long ago and he would have been in the top P4P long ago.

 

I feel people especially on this forum overated Gvosdyk a little. I always thought Beterbiev won by knockout to be honest I picked for round 5. it was until the second half of the fight that I knew it would be a stoppage, but Gvosdyk was breaking down he couldnt fight at the same pace and beterbiev could.

Gvosdyk did a lot well early and that's why the rounds are, his combos were good but his Power didn't seem to bother beterbiev much maybe he hurt Beterbive twice but it wasn't badly.
Once gvosdyk acted like it was a low blow and turned away... it was done, he wilted. he ate about 60 big shots and went down.

 

This is the second time he stopped Gvozdyk.. he did so as an amateur too.. regardless Gvozdyk can rebuild & come again, he boxed beautifully in a great fight.. hold your head up lad.. you're still a top 5 LHW.. look forward to seeing both again..

It's hard to hate Ward now that he's out of the ring. That guy has charisma. He's also right. No way in hell Canelo goes anywhere near Beterbiev.

LHW is a strong division but it looks like AB is currently the strongest. Kovalev is well past his best and with that body attack he wouldn't last 6 rounds. For Camel Toe, there are no drugs advanced enough to get him ready for this version of Beterbiev.
