I don't feel bad for Kolling. He stunk the joint out for 12 rounds and somehow managed to make a Beterbiev fight boring. **** him.

That pretty much sums the whole fight up well Serge.

If Kolling was a "puncher" I'd forgive Beterbiev's lack of real pressure more.. but he isn't.

Koelling fought purely to survive and was extremely negative from start to finish. Not easy to look good against someone who is tough, stayed hidden behind his tight guard all night, and only came out of his shell a couple of times each round.

Yeah Artur should've put his foot on the gas and tried to get him out of there much earlier

Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk will be VERY interesting. So will his long awaited rematch with Kovalev. 175 is going to be a lot of fun.

God that was boring. Cant believe id ever say that about a Beterbiev fight

Still, he's shaken the ring rust, proven his stamina, and got himself his first belt

    Roll on Beterbiev :good:

Unlike the others I enjoyed this fight very much. Watching Artur deal with Koellings tactics was interesting. Artur did not take any breaks but most importantly to me he didnt really give Koelling a chance. Championship form all the way. This guy is great.

Beterbiev smashes that Nail and ends the overhyped gvozdyk in the process :D

What's the possibility Beterbiev just wanted rounds and it was tactical to not go for a stoppage until the final round? Speculation about his power and perceived stiffness aside, he did throw over 90 punches per round and had no trouble with the pace, granted he had nothing of consequence coming back at him.

I would like to see him back in no later than 5 months against a guy who can answer some questions many of us have. A unification with Kovalev/Shabranskyy would be great or even have them both defend their titles once then meet in the Fall.

there is a bit to take away, firstly beterbiev looked less raw in this fight. he looked fairly polished and didn't risk anything. He did get rounds in. the second he tried to stop Enrico he did, still it was a bit boring but it shows beterbiev is more than just power at least.

He’s capable of it! But The Nail has the power and skills to take out Artur too. For me it’s a toss up fight.

I'd say pretty likely that's what happened. as he wasnt exactly landing bursts like he usually did.

Do you ever add anything of consequence or just go on emo rants replete with hyperbole?
