    Yeah, but not by much. Alvarez-Hatton had 1.4 million live viewers, which was the highest rating for a Boxing After Dark telecast since Kirkland-Julio in 2009.

    Good news for boxing. It was a great fight. Hopefully some of the casuals now know who Ortiz an Berto are.

    It was an entertaining bout.

    I guess in a sport that has been dragging those numbers can be seen as good news but compared to what boxing used to be in the 70's, 80's and 90's and also compared to the more popular sport of MMA it is a positive.

    Its a shame i didnt have my friends over. WE all had the weekend off for once and they usually come watch something at my place. They used to be hardcore MMA but last November they came over for a few boxing events and they said they were starting to like it. This fight would have helped.

    I agree, because he has so many options to keep building himself up. He has Kahn, Bradley, Maidana rematch, Berto rematch, Mosley, Aydin, Brook, Peterson rematch,

    If he is still the man then a Canelo/Chaves Jr fights could be huge in a couple yrs.

    Plus he was 2nd in the running for a fight with Pac, and was signed up to fight Mosley until Mayweather bought him out. He would have probably got his shot vs Pac if he were to pull out the fight with Ortiz.
