In Dan Rafael's latest blog, he discusses potential match ups that are being considered.

He mentions that Gary Shaw is in talks with Golden Boy to match Timothy Bradley with Maidana in the Spring on Showtime. He also added that Lou Dibella has discussed a Zab Judah fight against Victor Cayo at junior welterweight or Carlos Quintana at welterweight, and that HBO prefers the Cayo fight. Though there is a chance if none of that pans out, Maidana could be facing Cayo on HBO. Apparently, some kind of agreement is in order between Khan and Maidana allowing them both to take interim bouts before facing off.

Well, if Maidana takes Bradley as his "interim" fight then he can forget about Khan.

They're all interesting combinations though. I'd like to see Judah-Cayo - a nice crossroads fight although I'm not sure why HBO aren't interested in Quintana.

If Bradley fights and beats Maidana, he strngthens his position as the divisions #1 and starts to back Khan into a corner.

Bradley-Maidana is a very good fight, they match up very well. Bradley will be a solid favorite but the fight almost can't help but to be exciting. I'm not too interested in Judah anymore but a match between him and Cayo is midly interesting but Judah-Quintana feels old.

It would be nice if the Bradley-Maidana and Khan-JMM fights happen and the winners face off regardless of who they are.

Maidana clearly has no business sense because he should have forced the Khan fight or have him stripped not take on a whole bunch of meaningless fights with high risk. He should starch that coward Khan and get his first world title.

He might not have business sense but he's clearly all fighter. If he gets a chance to fight the divisions #1 and takes it, even though he'll probably lose and miss out on an easier fight with Khan, then he's got my admiration.

I actually think Khan and Bradley both beat Maidana but a defeat or two needn't be disasterous for him. Exciting, wild fighters with ko power will always get chances on HBO and Showtime.

dumb move on maidana's part if this happens.

I applauds the man for taking risk, BUT TIMOTHY BRADLEY AS YOUR INTERIM FIGHT?, he can forget about khan right now. He aint getting by bradley....no chance whatsoever.

Why does HBO prefer cayo more than quintana?, cayo vs judah, although a nice match up , is not better than quintana vs judah..

Figures it would be bradley to take on Maidana, good fight but was hoping to see Ortiz rematch him or Khan actually step up and fight him....

And if i was Maidanas matchmaker i sure as hell dont want this fight right now, why not give Maidana a few more fights to showcase his stuff and make him a bit more of a name within the division?

    Damn it!

The silver lining is that Bradley-Maidana is a good fight, but it'd still be a shame if Bradley threw the very compelling Maidana-Khan matchup off track.

    Yeah, that would be tight.

Quintana would love a Judah fight, but that would turn out pretty one-sided IMO.
