Good one folks! Gary Shaw just told me he has a done deal for Alfredo Angulo to fight Joachim Alcine in the HBO televised opener on July 17 when Bradley faces Abregu. Wow. What a show!

What weight are Bradley and Abregu fighting at? I really hope Abregu goes down, because 140 is really heating up, and I think Bradley is the man down there.

I read an article saying that it's going to be 147. I hope they're wrong, though. I totally agree with you, he needs to stay at 140.

I have NO problem with Bradley taking this fight. After Witter, Cherry, Holt, Campbell and an Undefeated Lamont Peterson...He deserves to fight anybody he wants. Hell if he wanted to fight the Lady from the "Where the Beef?" commercial...I have No problems with it. Khan, Maidana, Ortiz and Alexander resumes are no-where near Bradley's.

Bradley at welterweight is a bad move. It gives me the same bad feeling as Cotto at light middleweight. They're both facing solid guys, too. I don't like it. :err

As for Alcine, it totally depends on which version shows up. The guy that beat Simms can give Angulo a difficult night. The guy that Santos beat up just winds up as yet another name to pad Angulo's record and make him look better than he is.
