Just read the news on another site. That's too bad. I thought it was good exposure for the sport, and it certainly was a boost to the careers of some fighters.
Its ok another network will pick it up.. Hopefully someone like HBO or something so we can see and hear the curses and stuff lol
Too be honest, I never really liked the show much. The only time I watched it was during the finals, or when nothing else was on. I did the like the time Oscar and Sugar Ray had that jump rope contest of sorts, I was surprised to see how good Ray actually was still.
Agreed. The "do this for your family" angle got damn near unwatchable. I don't need to see a girlfriend weeping into a hanky to understand that the guy in the ring is fighting for his future. Still, the show did give lesser known fighters well-deserved exposure, so I hope it gets picked up somewhere. And while they are retooling, I hope they hire a better producer.
Yeah, I really could care less about what his ***** had to say about the fight, and the fact that continually show thses guys grilfriends at front row screaming like Chris Bryds wife, was annoying IMO. I remember watching Bika/Jadon fight, I had to throw out the rest of my hamburger after seeing a glimpse of Bika's wife, that ***** made me want to puke, you would think with all the money Bika made, he would find a better looking girl or something.
That's not cool, ranking on a fighter's wife like that, but she is butt-ugly. She must be a really good cook and give awesome head. :thumbsup
:rofl That was a good one RUSKULL, I usually dont, but I thought damn, Bika must have serious brain damage or something, that girl was very ugly and looked to have taken more punches to the face than Bika himself.:yep
I, for one, am extremely disappointed they cancelled the show. While there was a lot of room for improvement, it still gave boxing some good exposure. I know a lot of non-boxing fans that actually watched the show. Here's hoping someone picks up the show, and helps it reach it's potential. It's unfortunate with the success of so many UFC reality shows, that boxing can't even pull off one.
I'm no television producer, but the show had a lot of potential. And as bad as it sometimes got, I still enjoyed watching the show every week. The sad thing is a few minor improvements and they may have had a hit on their hands. Hopefully, it will be picked up by some other network.
wait the last season was possibly the best one of the whole of the shows history with a foty candidate in the finals. bika looks set to crack a wolrd title shot. he woudl be lost in the archive if he hadnt been forced to fight soliman and jaidon. jaidon cleared alot of his demons of being an overhyped bum jockey. maybe not wining the competition but only one guy out of that lot were going to. wasnt there a show called the next great champ which was an appaling copy of it. using newbies as the fighters all of them were terribly limited. stupid move by espn.
