They've tried MMA with not a lot of success so I'm not gonna hold my breath. The contender series must have started on network TV cuz I watched some of it and never had cable.

I completely agreed. GBP will accomplish what they want and make Canelo a bigger star. Im sorry this time Lopez heart is going to be his downfall. Even though he won the Ortiz fight, the guy was hit a lot and took some hard shots. To jump from 140 to 147 for one fight and then to 154 and no rest is going to be real dangerous. I hope if it is on CBS they do at least a start time at 9 ET and not later than that.

Good point, although myself and my family are white middle class, and I have wondered myself who the hell has those boxes. I've never seen one in my 34 years, in anyone's I know home.

GBP has **** for matchmaking. It's like they think there's this formula to follow for successful matchmaking, but fail miserably.

Major tv or not, this fight will do nothing for the sport if it's a one sided-show case event. I understand they need a safe opponent to keep the Cotto and Mayweather fights alive and that they need a cheap opponent to get it on CBS, but damn Quintana, Rosado, R.Garcia, Jonak, and Rodriguez all fit that bill and would make for way better fights than a severly outmatched Lopez. ***** Ortiz was still ffing Lopez up pretty good.

The tried to set up Ortiz as Canelo's next can but didn't realize Ortiz was Lopez's can. If I was Canelo I'd be a tad worried about GBP's match making abilities.

If I was Lopez I'd be more worried about the curse on Canelo's opponents. Lopez is likely to step outside and get hit by a truck after the weigh in.
