 truth! Good matchmaking allows a fighter to grow as a pro, not just allow one to showcase their skills. Look what happened to Berto. Given a belt and hand picked defenses. He's probably peaked. Would hate for the same to happen to Alvarez.

Probably by the truck driven by Danny Garcia headed to fill up the concession stands since it is looking like that is the only way he gets into the arena now in any official capacity since Victor "the family wrecker" Ortiz is done with him.

Jim Lampley would have a field day talking about that one, and I would have a field day watching him.

What an utter joke of a fight. At least Lopez will get a decent payday.

Lopez is too small to beat Canelo.

its bs that it is taking so long to officially 100% announce who he is fighting . whats so hard about this ???

and make it some one in ur damn weight class. canelo should tell oscar to stop ****in around and get me trout, k9,lara, and if vanes dont have a fight schduled consider him .

i dont wanna hear names like lopez who fought victor n wasnt even a full welter n now u wanna make him move up to jr middle. i dont wanna hear maidanas name or thurmans.

n i dont wanna hear mayorgas name wtf is that i cant even remember the last time that dude won. n how the hell can he make 154 i would bet hes fat an outta shape . i could be wrong but i would guess hes on the bigger side

Well, weight aside, Lopez deserves that ****. He clearly hits hard and has a relentless offensive energy Canelo has never seen before.

They took a long time because they were scrambling behind the scenes to A) find an opponent B) an opponent that will make the GBP card able to complete with the TR PPV.

    Did not work.

He was told by guys in Robert Garcia's gym the key was breaking Ortiz's will. Jaw helped too. That aside, his task at WW was easier because of that. Not gonna happen because of the size difference with Canelo.

It is just the way to promote the fight nowsaday. They want to draw public attention as much as they can.

The only thing that made this okay was that it was going to be on CBS.
