It should be at 175. Of course, Dawson ****ed up by saying he could make 168.

Dawson has the height, jab, and hand speed to really bother Ward. Dre can't outbox him..Can he close the gap?

I like this fight a lot, two top 10 pfp guys in their primes and I think its a better fight than most are giving it credit for.

I understand people saying Ward-Bute and Dawson-Pascal 2 should happen first, I'd like to see that play out as well. But going straight to this fight is fine by me. Besides, if Dawson-Ward can only happen by 2-3 other fights playing out a certain way first then it might not happen at all.

I don't want to see Dawson go to 168 for this fight, I'd much rather see Ward go to 175. This could also be an occasion where a catchweight isn't a bad idea, say 172 or so.

If the fight is at 168 I'd make Ward a favorite but at 175 its an even match up.

i don't think showtime didn't want the fight....i think showtime couldn't afford or were not willing to pay what the fighters were asking.

I don't understand why Ward would take a fight this hard when the easier Bute fight is around the corner.

I think Ward is a more rounded fighter and more consistent in terms of mental focus, but if this takes place at 175, I'm not sure how he'd do. Dawson is really ****ing big for a light heavyweight. Ward's not getting the better of Dawson in a jabbing chess match and I don't know if he has the right hand to do the same thing Pascal did. And if Dawson can keep his jab going, I question whether or not Ward can do enough inside mauling work to win the fight (even though he'd surely have a lot of good moments). Ward will find it much more difficult to get into close quarters against Dawson than he did with Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Green, etc. Dawson is quicker and much more athletic than those guys and can time him with right hooks and uppercuts when Ward puts on the ear-muffs.

Ward is a fantastic fighter though and one of the most skilled in the game, so it wouldn't surprise me if he found an avenue to get the victory.

Also, I don't like this fight at 168...but Ward has a bigger name and Dawson has been the one calling out Ward. Plus Dawson has said he can make super middleweight.

You got two slick black americans in there. What more can you ask for? However, I am with the crowd that agrees this fight is too soon & could be bigger. Has a rushed feel to it but **** it

I'm very surprised this fight is happening. Neither are draws. So why are they doing it? Both are riding high and one career will be sidetracked (most likely Dawson's) after this fight. Maybe both are just confident they can beat the other. If so, kudos to them.

Agree with the consensus that this fight is ideally too early.

Dawson is capable of mental lapses. Ward will take advantage. Very confident of Ward decision win.
