    Woah!

I've literally in the last 24 hours wondered a) when and against whom Ponce De Leon would be in the ring again, and b) when Broner was going to step up in class and fight on TV.

    Awesome!

Speed gave Ponce problems. Broner has plenty of it

Yeah, he has speed..but he's still as green as they come. Broner has never been tested with the level of opposition he's been matched with, nor has he been properly chin-checked. This is a very risky fight for dude at only 21 years of age.

Haven't seen quite enough of Broner.

I'm quite high on the improvement DPDL has made since the loss to Lopez.

Broner is a talented young fighter. His chin ain't too shabby. Broner can box him. PDL has problems with guys who can box some. Advantages over PDL, speed, better boxer, and power. Plus, PDL's chin ain't great. Anybody can win, but, I like Broner's chances.

PDL has much improved boxing...particularly his timing, and defense.

From what I've seen, Broner has some power..but nowhere near the type of crushing power I've seen PDL display. Even with Broner being slightly bigger, I still think PDL will be the puncher in the fight. And Ponce De Leon's chin is fine. He got caught cold by one of the biggest punchers in the sport and TKO'd. Otherwise, he's proven to be durable.

But yeah, it's Boxing..so I agree, anyone can win it. But I still feel like Broner may be biting off a little too much too soon. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this fight ends up being called off.

Broner's people get huge props for putting him in with a big time player so early in his development (or rather, in such sharp contrast to his recent opposition).

Ponce De Leon's people (Golden Boy, right?) are also making a bold move putting him in with a style that isn't necessarily his best match-up after he's worked so hard on his comeback...unless they own Broner too and are just looking at it as though they're cashing in on Ponce.
