Shafikov is an obscure fighter who's lost like 2 of his last 4? Betting lines are public perception, their money moves the lines accordingly.

Would probably be the first time Shafikov had a height advantage in his career lol

I think Dejan's too much for him though, probably stops him late.

Fight could have been stopped earlier. Sounds like Herring was swallowing blood since the 5th or 6th. He got Meldrick Taylored.

The KD was a slip and Herring was picking Shafikov apart. Haymon is a crook though and had the ref end the fight early.

Was Herring particularly well known? I must admit that's the first time I've seen him and...he may well be the worst "prospect" I've seen this year...he's less skilled than most the British journeymen

Obscure for casuals maybe, but I remember watching him vs Rahimov back in the day, and the guys he's lost to are all quality fighters. I remember the fight with Barthelemew being pretty close as well. Let's not forget he was fighting for the belt in his last fight.

Screw that the china chinned Linares has ducked Zlaticanin twice because he knows that Montonegrian power will turn himinto a lifeless corpse. He must be forced to meet his fate.

It was farrrrrrr too soon to out him in there with a monster like Shafikov, I figured he'd go the distance and maybe get a gift decision, but I knew Herring had no chance to outwork him.

Like I said on the thread about the match, what the **** was Haymon thinking?

I doubt Zlaticanin could stop someone Barthelemy failed to. It would be a superb fight though.

Not that I know of, but he had a few of the typical requisites to get a little momentum odds wise , a TV appearance and a win over an ancient s****py "spoiler" in Amidu.
