R7 10-9 Pedraza Pedraza sniping at range again not taking the bait. Fighting smart not fighting Beltran’s fight. Returning to what gave him success early on.

R8 10-9 Pedraza Pedraza getting the better inside and out. Beltran ties up now. Pedraza on the offensive. Now sniping.

8th round was masterful for Pedraza, jabs, body hooks, straight lefts, and defense. Beltran running out of rounds and better put up the intensity

    Round 8

Beltrán is muscling Pedraza back and working the body when they aren't tied up, clanking some right hands up top as well. Pedraza is ducking and springing up with counters, most skidding off Beltrán's shoulders but a peach of a right hook landing square on the jaw. Pedraza is feinting in an interesting way, clapping his gloves together and then separating them like a Vegas dealer performing the card trick where you shoot them across the gap into the opposite hand - or like he's playing the accordion - but then shooting the right jab before his glove strays too far out to his side. Beltrán doing more grabbing and holding than punching now.

    10-9 Pedraza

    77-75 Pedraza

R9 10-9 Pedraza Pedraza doing good with long range jabs but Beltran keeps pushing him to the ropes or a corner. Ray going to the body. Pedraza head hunting.

    Round 9

Beltrán is feigning the jab, lots of wrist-shimmies and false-starts, looking to get Pedraza moving backward in a straight line so he can leap in with a right hand lead, or catch him with a left hook drifting rightward. Pedraza isn't falling for it, though, circling wide, ducking, coming up with lead lefts from the southpaw stance and jabbing into Beltrán's ear as he grinds in for a tie-up with or without slapping the body.

    10-9 Pedraza

    87-84 Pedraza

There's a case for him winning a couple but they're not clear rounds like most of the ones that Pedraza is winning.
