Yeah cuz Cotto is a legit 154 pounder. Hasn't he had about the same amount of fights at 154 as Mayweather?? Please... Trout is a real 154 pounder, did you happen to notice the difference between them? Cotto doesn't beat Pac at 140, 147, 154, or 200. I do think it's dumb they made the 145 pound catchweight so guys can discredit the win, but in Cotto's prior fight he weighed 146.
I'm not sure I agree Mayweather should be "more scared" but either way he's not going to fight him. Pac definitely poses plenty of threat to Mayweather. If Mayweather still had good legs, and could move I think he could make Pac look bad, but he can't. If Floyd had a punch I'd be willing to bet Pac would get KOed, but he doesn't.
Pac gives Floyd plenty of problems. I say 50/50 as well.

Pacquiao needs to fight someone like Alexander and then Rios to get his confidence levels back.

Then if he pulls through, then he can fight Mayweather or Marquez.

There's no glory in fighting a 40+ year old Marquez lol Marquez was so much slower in that fight - just imagine if Marquez was as fast as he was in JMM-Pacquiao 1. Marquez in this fourth fight had thus tailored his game more towards the bigger shots which have the most devestating effect on Pac.

Cotto's most famous win was 146, 1 lb heavier than he was against Pacquiao. The catchweight was pointless, they had zero idea how Pacquiao would react because he's a small guy. In hindsight it was pointless. Chavez JR drains himself a lot more before every fight and still had the energy to muster a 12th round KO of the best middleweight around...

It's 50/50 - I like the fact that amidst the nuthuggers, there are some very balanced posts in here

Disagree - get back on the horse while that fire of defeat is in you. If there's no physical damage, which there isn't - Marquez was the one who went to hospital with symptoms of concussion - then get him back in tehre against Marquez. From there either retire or if win chase that last fight with Mayweather. If he runs, which he will, beat Bradley and say goodnight

Skip Bayless nor anyone on ESPN, aside from Teddy Atlas, having any boxing experience. Likewise, Larry Merchant/Jim Lampley/Max Kellerman are NOT boxing experts.

Yea, Mayweather is more scared of being charged with murder if he fights Pacquiao. That's about it.

those knockdowns do mean something. Floyd will be more confident he can land and knock out Pacman, although when you want to knock a guy out it doesn't happen. So who knows.

I love that people STILL say pacman would give Money problems. Money never has had a problem in the ring. Money's problems are losing a round or getting hit with ONE solid punch.

You have the greatest tactician in the sport against a guy that is always lunging and you think he'll give money problems? People just don't want to let go of their original bias. How many times do you have to see Manny come up short against LESSER competiion to realize EVER thinking he had a shot against mayweather was dumb. You want money to lose? ask him to fight bigger guys like martinez or young warriors like Alvarez or Broner in a year or two. Asking him to fight a small guy with no defense and proog of his greatness is laughable. Even more laughable to be STILL asking for it
