I probably would have given this to Mayweather over Canelo. Yes, he beat a shot Pac and a lower tier fighter in Berto BUT he still "retired" undefeated and, let's be honest, he beat Pac. I just think that would have been a deserving send off. Not totally a FOTY award but more like a retirement achievement award.

He deserves it. He's the face of boxing and has a much better resume than Triple Duckling.

For me, it is between only Fury and Mayweather

I give Fury the edge though because Wlad was unbeaten in over a decade and NOONE thought he would win, let alone the way he actually did it, winning every round and clowning him nonstop

Canelo as fighter of the year is a joke, he beat Kirkland without Ann Wolfe, except had more trouble with him than Ishida did, and then won a close decision against an old Cotto

Idk. I could make arguments for GGG, Roman, May, and Fury. Hard to pick one. There's no clear cut winner in my eyes. I can't find a reason to give Canelo it tho.

The fact that it's not May just puts this award to ****s

He's done significantly more than Roman, GGG, Pac or Canelo

    It's just bogus, complete bogus.
