You cant compare apples to oranges, and you cant compare mma to boxing, any more than you can compare the London Prize Ring rules to the Marquis of Queensbury! Ali, imo, couldnt beat John L. Sullivan under his rules, and certainly Sullivan couldnt beat Ali under his. Same with MMA and modern boxing---there is no definite answer, isnt even a 50/50, anything can happen. If boxers were superior, then why didnt Botha, Briggs, Esch and others become MMA champs if it was so easy? If MMA guys were so superior, then why is it that Rick Roufus is the only one to ever come close to becoming a boxing top ten contender, let alone a champ?
