I watched that whole interview when it aired. He said that his brother thought that he would lose to Mayweather. He said as a fighter he'd feel he would beat anyone.

Anyway people forget that 147 is SRL's best weight. And 147 is arguably Money's worst weight depending on how you look at it.

Still I think he beats SRL 116-112. A lot of people underrate his defense still, and I dont know why. SRL is a ATG. But I dont see anyone outside of Hearns giving Mayweather any problems from that era.

He'd beat on Duran at any weight, similar to how he did Baldomir.
    He'd outsmart and outbox SRL
And I dont know why, but I have a feelings Hearns would catch him with something. I dont know if he'd knock him out, but I feel he'd catch him with something big .

Lets not get things twisted dickweed, you stated:

"how can you say that you will knock someone out who has never been knocked out? Especially as that fighter has shown no flaws in his game that can be exploited to lead to a knockout."

My point was Leonard has every right to say he would have knocked Floyd out & as you gush Floyd has shown no flaws in his game to lead to a knockout, when in fact he has been put down by Judah, hurt by an old Moseley, arguably lost to Castillo & struggled against a shot Cotto.

One things for sure Judah, Moseley, Castillo & Cotto are nowhere near the level Leonard was at & they're some of the best fighters Floyd has fought.

So get your crusty sock & bust all kindz ah nuts you dumb ****.

No Marcos Geraldo isn't better defensively than Floyd.

Also Floyd hasn't fought ANYONE with the skills, speed, footwork, killer instinct, intelligence, IQ, defense & toughness of Leonard. Whereas Leonard did knock out Benitez who IS better defensively than Floyd.

So go suck Marcos Geraldos dick

    Not in this lifetime!

Look at Leonard vs Mayweather Sr. The truth about that is told in the 1st 3 rounds where that style whoops Ray Leonards ass horribly. Dundee was in panic... Lil Floyd has no stamina problems or issues with partying the night before the fight. Leonard gets UD'd by MOney!!!

SRL would have no chance with Floyd, LA would be to far away to fight.

    Is this a troll post?

Mayweather Sr did a decent job in the first two rounds (but didn't come even close to 'whooping' Leonard) and was getting beaten up in the third round. He was trying to shell up on the ropes and Leonard hammered him to the body and around his guard. Sr took a beating in this fight, and it's not something you would want to use to claim that Jr would beat Leonard.

If you can't identify the potency of the style and the impact it had on Leonards skillset, get another hobby!

You calling that **** right. Triple Sr's skillset and you got Jr. Too much boxing for the Sugar man. Higher ring IQ. He would out think Leonard and box him until his draws sucked up in his ass.

Let me put things into perspective. Todays 36 yr old Mayweather would give a prime Sugar Ray Leonard a run for his money. I'm not saying May would win but, when a 36 yr old fighter can hang with a prime SRL, that in itself speaks volumes on how good Mayweather really is. I don't think any real boxing fan, who is unbiased would say SRL just runs through todays version of Mayweather. If I can bore you for a minute, Lets put the same scope of critisim used on Mayweathers career and shine it on SRL. One could argue that SRL lost to Hagler, and there many who do, split fights with Hearns and criticize the fact that he lost to Duran. Lets us not forget the little stunt SRL pulled when he fought Donny Lalonde. If Mayweather tried that, man O man people would take to the streets trying to hang poor ol Mayweather. Now, since I'm not a complete nuthugger, as some so kindly put it, Mayweather never fought anybody as good as Duran, Hagler or Hearns, so in that context we must give great respect to SRL. Mayweather will never be able to fight anyone as good as those guys, except Manny but, that is a whole other story. Unfortunately Manny is not the fighter he was 2-3 years ago, of course that is my opinion, I do however hope I am wrong in that regard and if and when Mayweather and Manny fight both fighters are considered top notch and the winner gets full credit for the win.:bbb

leonard did not beat a 100% duran in the second bout. his whole strategy for winning was to not allow duran the time for proper preparation. everyone involved knew this...including leonard, mike trainer, bob arum, don king, eleta and duran.

"catch him off guard" those are leonards own words.

mike trainer said duran was 10lbs over the limit the night before the bout.

they hung duran out to dry.

leonard has greater accomplishments than floyd. but i don't believe leonard would stop floyd.

The sad thing is, even if Floyd traveled back in time and beat Leonard, all the haters on here would immediately start crying about how he's ducking sugar ray robinson.

I wouldn't pick any welterweight in history to KO Floyd Mayweather. The man just doesn't get hit enough.
