Round 1 Santos keeps directly in front of Ramos with his gloves tight and high. He paws in with feel-out punches and Ramos at first lets him get in and out without punishment. Quickly the difference in foot speed and agility becomes apparent as Ramos turns and jabs Santos, who stumbles a bit from merely the pace of circling. Ramos shoeshines on Santos' gloves and then reaches a fast hook down to the body. Easy Ramos round...10-9
Round 2 Santos can't get near Ramos, discouraged by lead hooks that actually push him out of position. Santos tries to both sides of Ramos' body and hits elbows, but does stem off Ramos' offense momentarily. Santos gets a flush right hand through to the chin, mild reaction from the crowd. Ramos able to right the ship for the remainder of the round, though he isn't outlanding Santos quite the way he was in the 1st. Ramos 20-18
Round 3 Santos is starting to get a rhythm going, bending to throw jabs at awkward angles and then letting uppercuts go when in close. Ramos is fighting defensively, waiting his turn, and then flurrying but getting blocked. Ramos jabs off the backfoot and stays out of trouble, but then opens up and loses exchanges. Santos round. 29-28 Ramos
Round 4 Santos opens the round with a wide can opener hook that doesn't even come close. Ramos still falling in a lot, with Santos leaning on him and turning it into a phonebooth fight - bad for Ramos. Until... Santos hurt by a body shot....does not beat the ten count.
Clottey vs Pacquaio talk now. I'm not even going to try to interpret what Pac and Clottey are saying, I'll just sum it up. Pac- His concerns are Clottey is bigger and strong Clottey- My defense will be the key Roach- We're going to try to take his legs away and attack the body when it's open Arum- -Hissing while chanting backwards-
Atlas says De La Hoya was not legitimately bigger than Pacquaio....Fathom that. Atlas says Clottey is the first legitimate big strong welter that Pacquaio has fought. Atlas says Cotto was damaged and/or shot. Clottey isn't busy enough against Pacquaio but that he has a chance to catch Pacquaio. Atlas says there is a danger level for Pacquaio. Atlas waffles on a prediction sort of, insinuating that he says things just to eat up time. Atlas says Pacquaio is going to win every second of every round, get careless and Clottey is going to drop him. Atlas still sticks with Pacquaio by decision by being busy.
Dan Rafael is gaining weight by the second. Discussing Lenny De Jesus as Clottey's new trainer. Kenny Albert asks what fight does a better PPV buy and Rafael says that Clottey is basically unknown and that "no question in my mind does Mayweather-Mosley does bigger numbers than Clottey-Pacquaio." Rafael says that it's not on Pacquaio because he's carrying this fight by himself. Rafael says that Shane Mosley went after Mayweather and not the other way around.
Michael Dallas Jr 11-0-1 2 KO vs Fabian Luque 20-12-4 11 KO Fabian Loque is 32 from Los Mochis, Mexico. 5 losses in his last six and 4 of those were TKOs Michael Dallas JR from Bakersfield, Cali. 23 years old.
Michael Dallas Jr. vs Fabian Luque. James Jen Kin, the ultimate no-bull**** referee. :happy Round 1 Luque lets fly a haymaker and Dallas catches him. Jen Kin breaks up the clinch quickly. The pattern repeats, Luque falls all over Dallas to smother his punches. "Come on, let him go" urges Jen Kin. Luque shoves his head under Dallas' shoulder; Dallas obliges by applying a headlock. Jen Kin does not approve. Another crazy around-the-world overhead haymaker from Luque. Newsflash: it misses. More clinches than landed punches through 2 minutes. Dallas starts putting combinations together, clearly a very light hitter but still staggering Luque who has a horribly wide and gangly stance. He finally goes down and is up at the count of 8. James Jen Kin doesn't care, and waves it off.
Round 1 Luque has on the generic gear that created boxers in Fight Night have on when you don't feel like getting detailed. Dallas starts it off with a swift jab to the body and Loque immediately shows how poor he is with a slow, easy to counter wide hook. Dallas lands a stiff jab and Luque is flailing like an amateur. Loque ties up and Dallas J.R. is fine with it. Luque gets tied up again and Dallas J.R. does nothing. Dallas Jr counters that wide hook again and Loque is forced to tie up. Dallas has a decent jab and Luque is a sucker for it. Nice left hook from Dallas on Luque. Dallas with some good body work before Luque ties him up again. Luque trying to cover up as Dallas Jr lets the hands go. Luque is too slow and Dallas is too polished for Luque. Luque throws his super slow hook and Dallas J.R. counters with a nice uppercut. 20 seconds left as the pace slows down. Dallas J.R. with a nice hook and DOWN goes Luque. Luque is up but wobbly and James Jen Kim waves it off. Dallas J.R KO1 Luque. Hope Luque didn't put much money on the meter.
this guy luque is the tomato can of all tomato cans. jesus, what were they thinking bringing this guy into the ring? it doesn't look like he's boxed or trained a day in his life.
