Anyone else disappointed in the quality of ESPN Friday Night Fights this year? I only remember being legitimately excited twice this year, Miranda's KO of Banks and Gamboa last week. The rest of the fights have been garbage. Not enough prospects. Too many over the hill fighters. I'm just amazed they don't have anything better to offer than this. Kind of sad that this is the only free boxing we get. Most Fridays, the highlight is the in-studio guest.

Lol because you do like them, or at the "in-studio guest" comment?

ESPN caught a bad break with Green pulling out of his bout so late so I'll cut them some slack on this. They've got some good bouts coming up on the schedule.

    I don't think they're doing that poorly.

I agree. The had better fights that were more competative. Recently, they have gotten a bit boring. What ever happened to Wedsneday night fights? Last time I watched one of those was a while back. Was it cancelled permanently or is it off season.

In Texas they have the Spanish Station fights starting at 7:00 pm CST and ESPN at 8:00 PM.

"No backing up type fights" in espanol.

So I catch the main event in Spanish while the undercard is on ESPN.
Then switch back to the ESPN for their main event.

(No Atlas yelling "Landscape...Dimensions...90 % mental, etc....at least for a little while)

This doesnt surprise me, cause the matchmaking is pretty bad, it doesnt matter to me who fights but, at least get some interesting style match-ups so its entertaining.

Wow, some rough comments. Thanks for the f off comment. Really was necessary. All I'm saying is, you would think that the only major "FREE" weekly boxing show would be able to get some better talent on the program. I can't believe promoters aren't itching to get their guys exposure on ESPN. Instead we get Antwan Echols in the main event. There's just been too many snoozers. Atlas said as much in one of the previous programs.

I am looking forward to Bundrage-Ouma and Andy Lee though. Should be good. Baby Joe is fighting as well coming up.

They definitely could do better - Lee is headlining the March 21st card with Arron Pryor jnr on the undercard. These and other talented young prospects shoul be showcased as much as possible
