That was fun to watch why didn't they show Gary Russel Jr. though he's flawed but has great speed and good skills would of liked to see him.
ESPN is scaling back their boxing spending, it seems. :verysad Although it's been added to the news ticker...right between "NCAA football" and "X Games" :!: Thankfully ESPN Classic is keeping it real with their acquisition of the Showtime Championship library (mixed in with their own vintage archives). Speaking of which...in 90 minutes they're showing Toygonbayev vs. Tsurkan and then Griffith vs. Heilman at 2am. Tomorrow they're showing Ali-Frazier III at 9, then Whitaker-McGirt I and II and Breland-Starling (all starting at midnight). :good
Yes, and they make such good use of the library they already have. Tyson-Jameson is the most-often televised fight of all time. And Ali-Frazier II, the boring fight in the trilogy is right behind it. I'm sure they'll really ramp up their fights on Classic, right between such other classic sports as the 2007 World Series of Poker and the 2004 PBA Invtational from Toledo.
I just said, they're showing THRILLA IN MANILA tomorrow, primetime...that's the third fight, btw...and one of the GOAT. :hi: They've been featuring lots of Emile Griffith late-night lately...showed Hatton-Tszyu last night...hell, they've had boxing on just about every night of the week. They have ramped up their fights. You're just not paying attention (or you're an earlybird, in which case the good stuff is just past your bedtime :yep). Who cares what other stupid crap they program around it? Make note of when the fights are, tune in, and then stop watching when the Classic Boxing is over. Seems pretty simple to me.
Gentlemen, I wasn't in last night to read all this. However, I must say, this is one of the funniest threads I've seen on here in a while. The line about Saul doing the fight plans to get his freedom about put me in traction, along with a few other gems. Fine work.
