Yeah I do, I think he would box smart (negatively) and go the distance.

    Wow.

McDonnell was undefeated for over a decade, and in that span fought nothing but world rated fighters or at worst (and in the minority) very high-level journeymen and capable Euro title level fighters. He is 32, not a growing boy, and had been comfortably making bantam for eight years in a row.

    So please, just stop.

Yeah lets ignore wins over Taguchi, Kono, Narvaez, Hernandez and the guy Yafai is now set to face...oh and how Ancajas and Yafai crapped their pants to stay away from him

Given the circumstances your right, but what Inoue did was still very impressive.

    Inoue's last 5 fights

    McDonnell never been stopped before
Yoan Boyeuax never been stopped before
Antonio Nieves never been stopped before
Ricardo Rodriguez never been stopped before
Kohei Kono never been stopped before (has subsequently been stopped but only on a cut)

None of them made it past the half way point

I guess that's all just a coincidence, right? lol

Like I said I'd be uncomfortable paying to attend a fight between Inoue and Burnett. I'd be more inclined to take them out to the cinema to watch Despicable Me 4 and then for a Happy Meal.

I'd have to rewatch, but apart from the left to the body (which took JM off his feet!) I'm not sure Inoue landed clean. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon power....

Naoya sitting at the presser wearing his shiny new WBA strap over his shoulder and performing RBR commentary on his fight. He watches the first knockdown he scored and raises his eyebrows, like:

Not as uncomfortable as Burnett would find it, I suspect. An unhappy meal of brutal punches....

Definitely landed clean to the side of JM's head. More than once. In the finishing sequence.

Come on IB, nobody is saying the result would have been any different. But when a guy weighing 118 puts on 26 lbs, that should ring some alarm bells. He hasn't comfortably made weight in about 2 years and it's clearly getting harder the older he gets.

In the finishing salvo (having now watched it a dozen times), he landed about half on the gloves and forearms of McDonnell (and even those hurt) but the other half got him bang on the skull.

Thought most of those were deflected off gloves to head but yeah I'd have to watch again

EDIT: I just read up ^

Plus his body had been scrambled seconds before...
