Seriously, Rigo fangirls have zero excuse. A former Light Flyweight who was a half a foot smaller than his opponent just KO1 said rugged as hell, tough as nails Bantamweight who'd never been stopped in his career.:deal:

I have no sympathy for weight bullies being weak at the weight. If you drain yourself down to beat up on much naturally smaller guys who you have an unfair advantage over, you can't use the weight as excuse when it doesn't go your way. And FTR, 32 other men failed to stop McDonnell, nevermind ice him in a round.

So here's a question, before we completely lose sight of the co-main event in favor of (deservedly) waxing poetic on Naoya's performance and his outlook @ bantam...

Who is the #1 light flyweight at the moment? I still haven't seen Taguchi vs. Budler; some have said it was a robbery while others believe it was fairly scored.

If the latter, we probably can't rate Taguchi over Kenshiro anymore. I would absolutely favor Kenshiro against Budler h2h, but in terms of résumé you might actually have to, for the moment, give it up for the South African who always looks as if he just got incredibly stoned & got lost on his way to a Juggalo convention...

Guevara and Lopez twice are impressive wins at 108 so won't be much splitting them resume wise AT 108 imo

I'm 5'11 and currently weigh 192lbs. I have no clue how anyone pulls that off.

You know what? That is an uncharacteristically not off-base & ridiculous Wilder-related post from you, for once. I can actually see the similarities, in terms of them both having "WTF is even happening right now?" power that hurts guys even when partially blocked. Difference is that Naoya, unlike Deontay, actually has a grasp of boxing fundamentals (to put it mildly).

Rigo was too small doe was silenced in the very next fight. The grasping at straws post-Linares has been hilarious.
