Maybe, never seen him, but probably not, his record looks padded as hell.

So once Zurdo gets up near that 40-0 undefeated sweet spot, with soft padding like tonights pudding cup, are the "fans" and casuals going to start getting aboard the hype train, or is Ramirez just one of those fighgers perpetually stuck in his own kind of "production hell", never achieving any real degree of hype?

Ramirez and Ancajas should get the job done.

He lacks passion and power, both kind of turn offs for fans, he's slipped a lot in my eyes, he just shows up, does workman like performances that are good enough to win, and no one can remember them 10 minutes later, much less a week or a month.

I am just here to express my disgust at this matchup.

Matching a world champion against a guy who is 7 inches shorter, thats never fought outside of Ghana, that has only fought fringe level African fighters at best.

    Appalling matchmaking

That's true. I can't remember the last time he stamped any kind of authority on a performance. Maybe he's more or less hit his peak performance wise and at this point it's a question of using his wits and skills to navigate his matches rather than any other set of attributes. I can get behind that I suppose, not every Mexican needs to be a left hook artist who blocks punches with their faces.

Just Bob hoping to break Zurdo's pathetic KO drought.

Saw that Jose Benavidez is on this card, anyone know why he's been out of the ring something like a year and a half, bouncing around weight classes?

He got shot last year, in the hand no less, so who knows how well his hand will react tonight.

    Ah, that'll do it.

He was pretty inconsistent before the bullet to the hand. Will be interesting to see how he comes back.

What are your personal thoughts on Ancajas? Lower weight monster or just someone decent blitzing through a weak field of opposition?

Love Ancajas, Pinoy and I were on board with him before most, he's the real deal, his wins over Arroyo, Kinoshita and Conlan, and the ease in which he pulled it off, is impressive as hell. He's the real deal.
