He was #11 after beating Stiverne so now as a Christmas present they've moved him up 1 spot.

    Discuss.

The dominant KO win vs Stiverne should not give him more than one spot...so its fair
#10 is temporary until Deontay Wilder proves he can beat King Kong & Anthony Joshua, then you can argue for the high P4P spot, which is always tricky because heavyweights are usually misjudged in P4P ratings

Lol He won’t last long there. Either Povetkin or Ortiz knocks the fraud out of the top 10 IF Wilder takes the fight.

You read wrong, he was moved up to 11 after beating Buffet, was given 10 just now for no reason at all, other than being American.

Dominant KO win? lol It's more like an episode of the Walking Dead, with Windmills knocking out the walking zombie Buffet.

Actually, out of 11 experts only four mentioned him in their top 10. And one of those (four) experts put him as #4 (the other three -- #8, #9). That's why he turned up as #10.
Kind of random/lucky because the majority (seven of eleven) of the experts didn't think he's top 10 at all.

Where is Nichols at p4p? I mean weight wise he's #1, but on this list he should be #9 right??

Wilder hasn’t even beaten a top 10 HW in his entire career.

Embarrassing by the USA. Really embarrassing.

And to be in a top 10 P4P list as a HW you must be the undisputed number 1. Wilder is nowhere near that.

If you're going to be a purist about it HWs have no place on p4p lists.

That said, I don't give a ****, it's job is to get you to talk about the names on the list not be correct or fair, and what are you doing? ESPN clearly has a great p4p list presently; it's got a thread.

Deontay would likely beat Rigo even worse than Loma did, so this is fair.

Who else is in it? Wilder is not top 10 pound for pound. Maybe if he beat Joshua, Parker, Povetkin and Ortiz he could have a shout to scrape in to 10th, but as we stand now there is no way he is the 10th best Boxer on the planet. No way. He doesnt fight like one, he hasnt fought anybody yet either.

And dont get me wrong, there should be no current heavyweights in the a top 10 P4P list. Not just Wilder, none of them. It is not a strong division.

To be fair, Wilder could be amongst the best 10 out there, he just hadn't fought at a high enough level yet to prove it.

But if he beats Joshua I don't think anyone would complain about him being there.

One of the panel of experts voted him at number 4.

    I stopped reading after that
