This is a little unfortunate for Williams , i liked the fight TBH , didnt love it but liked it !!!!

Williams has said 160 is too big for him and would like to be back down @47 , nobody there wants anything to do with him therefore he will be forced into another match @160 .

To that end get Pirog Williams made already :deal

Right now, P Will doesn't need to step in the ring with a huge puncher like Andy...I'm afraid Lee would decapitate him!!

I like Williams and I was fine with the fight as well, its a fight that makes sense for Williams right now. I just wasn't on board with it being an HBO main event, HBO needs to do better than that. Williams-Ishida would be a good fight on a number of different stations but I doubt Williams is going to take a paycut for that to happen. If Williams is going to insist on being back on HBO and making big money in doing so he has to face opponents of a higher caliber. There are plenty of solid, more well known fighter, from 147-160 that Williams could face.

As for Ishida, he probably needs one more win of some note before he's in a high profile fight like this. Right now, right or wrongly, he's basically seen as an ok fighter who scored a big upset over a fighter who may or may not have been very overrated. Ishida's win put him in a good place but he needs to prove himself again before being an HBO main event fighter.

What is the ideal weight class for Pdub? I thought it was 160, I guess not.

Paul Williams needs to learn to tuck his chin in, and shoot his jab with authority.

You fight who HBO says when they say you do, it dosent matter if its a missmatch if they say you fight you fight, or it dosent matter if its a good match up if they say you dont, you dont. Add hbo to all the problems with the sport today now they are not just a network they are the matchmaker and promoter.

I'm still sad over the Kirkland incident. I wanted a fight between him and angulo so bad back when they were both undefeated.

I don't understand all the hate for this fight? Ishida just koed Kirkland and is coming off a big win and Williams is coming off a bad KO loss. What's the problem with this fight?

It's not that the fight is horrible, just that WHY does HBO need to air it?

Who gives a **** about Ishida's win over Kirkland. Kirkland's been assocaited with the word POTENTIAL, not accomplishments. That win didnt make Ishida into a major player at 154 or 160 did it? Don't think it did.

If Williams wants Ishida, fight in a casino on some reservation. Or on ESPN. Or FNF. He doesn't NEED to have each and every fight on HBO taking up valuable TV space. HBO already showcases too many **** fights.

Id like to see it, but Pavlik isnt gonna suck down to 160 even 164 for the fight. Williams doesnt want to fight that heavy. It would be Dumb for Kelly who seem to BULK up a lil for 168 to go down and lose that weight, he gotta stay at 168 cause he isn't exactly used to it yet!

would be a very intertaining fight though!
