    I can't paste stuff here or I will get banned but go to ESPN boxing and checkout the heavyweight lineage slide show..they got footage of EVERY heavyweight champion. 1 min clips.. I'm telling you guys the sweetest high def footage of fitz vs corbett you have ever seen! A must see

    first time you do it they give you a warning or at least i was lucky enough to get a warning in my email second time they ban you so watch out

    they put Vitali K. as the next lineal champ after Lennox

    he was reconized by ring and a few other organizations. than they stripped him of it when he retired...Wlad was given it after his fights...and when vitali came back it just stuck with wlad.

    Wlad was declared lineal champion AFTER Vitali made his successful comeback

    Lineal is just a concept with no set criteria. Some think vitali was, some think he wasn't. Same with Holmes and wlad. It's all wishy washy.

    More so with vitali because the main dispute to his crown was Byrd who had previously stopped vitali and had actually beaten much better opposition by this point.

    He certainly wasn't as generally recognised as Lewis before him and wlad after him but he was most rankings choice for number 1.

    can't see the argument against holmes really: created a new lineage against norton. if you don't like that, he confirmed the lineage against ali.

    But the Holmes-Norton fight was in 1978. Ali retired in 1979 and he had the lineal title.

    P.S. Lineage sucks. Shannon Briggs was never recognized as Champion and should never be recognized as Champ.
