it's a shame that hopkins couldn't or wouldn't make any big fights off of the momentum from the pavlik win. if this sells well, i could see it being the last fight for both. would've loved to have seen hopkins versus dawson, adamek, cloud or any top fighter around his class to see if he could continue defying father time. this fight with jones will have little significance in the scheme of things as each will be another year older and both will probably have little incentive to fight on. if hopkins wins, he should b/c jones hasn't beaen a top fighter in a few years and if jones wins, people will say it's cause hopkins has finally gotten old. i would've also like to see rjj fight a young lhw contender to really gauge where he's at. i guess it's a cash out fight for both and u can't really blame them but i'd like to see him fighter other fighters. may be a rather boring fight too

If Jones wins, i think he will definitely fight on. He loves being "the man" and perform in front of people. He'll probably get retired by someone.

On the other hand, Hopkins would probably be contempt with going out with a win. And if he loses, i'm almost certain he will retire. He's not going to get some tune up to get a big fight. But he'll probably have a chance to get a big fight right away but i don't know if he will get in the ring if he knows his body won't allow him to perform at a level he wants. I think he cares about his legacy and doesn't want a lopsided loss on his resume.
