Oh yes Gvodzyk was overhyped by some on here. I'm not saying he's overhyped because he didn't get the KO. I'm saying he's overhyped because his skills looked a tad better than Shabranskyy's. His defense sucks also.

 

gvozdyk is meh... not on bivols level.. if hes smart he will dodge bivol kovalev beterbiev for a few more years .

 

Should be a good fight.

 

Didn't watch the fight, but fighters have off nights. And some fighters struggle to get up for certain opponents. I'm not the biggest nail fan but when he did to Gonzalez and Chilemba tells me what he can do when he's on his A-game.

 

How did the Nail's radar look when in punching range?
I kind of get feeling he has lost confidence in it, thats why he has reverted to more of a cautious tappy tap point scorer.

I didnt watch the fight but I'm not shocked Amar hung in there. I'm pretty.sure his only stoppage loss was some sort of injury?
But the consensus is sounding like Gvoz was pretty underwhelming. He should not have dropped the ascendancy for more than a few of exchanges against a bloke like that.
That would be a couple displays like that on the trot.

 

Some people are being too hard on Gvozdyk. I thought he boxed very well.

Amar was very determined to win, since this was his chance of his lifetime. There was no quit in him.

The best fighters of all time have gone the distance against tough journeymen. No one can always get a knockout, it's not reasonable to expect that from anyone.

 

Except Gvodzyk didn't shut him out. Amar won at least three rounds clearly.
